Tiivistelmä
The goal of this study was to find out if geometric field of view has an effect on driving safety and laptimes in a racing simulator environment. An experiment with 18 participants was carried out in which the participants would drive in a racing simulator with various geometric field of view settings. Larger geometric field of view seemed to generally give faster average laptimes, but the largest geometric field of view -setting was also the worst setting regarding driving safety. However, either of these findings could not be verified by statistical analysis.
