Word and Image: Theoretical and Methodological Approaches

Abstract

The eleven articles collected in this volume approach the relationship between word and image from original angles, presenting a wide array of topics and methodologies from literary studies to cultural and translation studies. The choice to use two languages, English and Finnish, was made to ensure a wider demographic. The book accurately reflects the kind of interdisciplinary research into intermediality currently being done at the School of Language, Translation and Literary Studies (LTL).
