Inter-Ethnic relations in Estonia 1988-1998

Abstract

This dissertation is an attempt to study and understand inter-ethnic relations in Estonia over the last ten years. The subject matter of the research is placed in the broader context of nation-building and the transition from the Soviet system to democracy. The focus of the dissertation is on the issues of identity development of Estonian Russians and conflict accommodation strategies of Estonian authorities.
