Arvot olivat kirjallisuuden ohjeellisia arvoja huomattavasti suurempia.
Tuloksista tehtiin myös kehitysehdotuksia tutkimuksen kohdeyritykselle. Tärkeimmät kaksi osaamista tietotekniikka ja tietoliikennetekniikka kohdennetaan yrityskoolle yli 50 työntekijää, jota tukee hyvä yli 5 vuoden asiakaslojaalisuuden vaikutus. Havaitun suuren keskittymisriskin asiakassegmentissä yli 50 työtekijää johdosta valittiin toiseksi tärkeäksi asiakassegmentiksi yrityskoko 1-9 työntekijää ja sitä kautta kohdistetaan myös ohjelmoinnin osaamisen positiiviset vaikutukset yrityksen tulokseen. Näin aikaansaadaan sekä tuloksen kannalta paras ratkaisu, että huomioidaan ennakoivasti yrityksen riskienhallinnan kautta osaamisen palvelujen monimuotoisuus ja näin pienennetään vaara yrityksen olemassaololle tulevaisuudessa. Vaikka tutkimus on tapaustutkimus, voidaan todeta mahdollisuus havaitun kaltaiselle keskittymisriskin toteutumiselle laajemmin erityisesti uusien IT- alan yksinyrittäjien toiminnassa, syynä voi olla alkuvaiheen nopea tuloskasvu ilman riittävää samanaikaista riskienhallinnan osaamista. The sole proprietor's available time and resources are reduced, but not the work tasks. The entrepreneur can correct the situation by using technology or prioritizing tasks. However, the most important thing is to find the competence where it is good and which brings the company the most money. The aim of the study was to investigate the impact of the IT sole proprietor's competence, customer segments and customer loyalty on the company's results over the last 10 financial years. The study was a case study in nature, which was carried out as a longitudinal study. The study utilized both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. The data was collected in an analytical form in a spreadsheet program, where the necessary reliability checks were also performed. After data collection and analysis, an interpretation was made using the diagrams added using an inductive approach, in which the interpretation was written in the form of a story and the phenomenon that emerged was described. Finally, the findings made through content analysis were combined into a new conclusion and description of the phenomenon.
The impact of targeting competence, customer segment or loyalty on the company's result was significant in all cases, especially for companies with more than 50 employees combined with IT and telecommunications competence, the sales margin percentage was 20-43%, if travel and per diem costs are taken into account, the percentage was 29-72%. Loyalty for more than 5 years had a positive impact on the company's result for companies with more than 50 employees. For companies with 1-9 employees, the programming competence percentage of sales margin was 8-15%, when travel and per diem costs were not taken into account. The effects of competence maintenance and training, sales work, customer segment personal customers, loyalty for 1 year and 2-5 years were minor. A good sales margin of 50-60% leaves the company with a large portion of sales revenue.
Based on the findings of the study, a content analysis of the concentration risk of the customer segment was carried out in connection with the interpretation of the results. The justification for examining the concentration risk was the very high sales margin percentage of 39-65% for companies with over 50 employees, excluding travel and per diem costs. The risk analysis showed that the departure of a single most important customer for companies with over 50 employees would cause a drop in turnover of 25-52% and a drop in sales margin of 34-58%. The values were significantly higher than the indicative values in the literature.
The results also provided development suggestions for the target company of the study. The two most important competences, information technology and telecommunications technology, are targeted at companies with over 50 employees, which is supported by a good customer loyalty effect of over 5 years. Due to the observed high concentration risk in the customer segment with over 50 employees, the second important customer segment was selected as the company size with 1-9 employees, and through this the positive effects of programming competence on the company's results are also targeted. This way, the best solution is achieved in terms of results, and the diversity of competence services is proactively taken into account through the company's risk management, thus reducing the risk to the company's existence in the future. Although the study is a case study, it can be stated that there is a possibility of the observed concentration risk materializing more widely, especially in the operations of new sole proprietors in the IT sector. The reason may be the rapid growth in results in the initial phase without sufficient simultaneous risk management competence.
