Abstract

This is a spatial guidebook for working from home. It helps dwellers unveil the potential of their homes as places of work, while also offering a practical checklist and ‘patterns’ of good design practices for those who design, renovate, refurbish or construct homes and living environments. In addition, it supports employers by enhancing their understanding of employees’ needs and living conditions, and how these factors influence wellbeing and productivity.

This spatial guidebook promotes a holistically just, restorative and sustainable approach to the design and use of living environments as places of work.
