Tiivistelmä
This thesis investigates how players perceive AI coaches in video games and how these perceptions influence overall user experience and satisfaction. As AI-driven coaching systems be-come more integrated into gaming environments, understanding their effectiveness, key features, and user perception becomes increasingly important. Questionnaire was used to gather insights from gamers that use or have used AI coaches, the study explored what features were considered important and what factors affected user satisfaction, while simultaneously identifying challenges and limitations in AI coaches. The analysis showed that, users generally perceive AI coaches as helpful for improvement, and most reported their overall experience being good. AI coaches’ advice regarding strategy and decision making was selected as the most important area in which they help. Limited functionality and lack of personalized advice were identified as barriers for positive experience. These findings suggest that to improve user satisfaction, developers should keep developing new features, while utilising generative AI to make the coaching experience more personalized for everyone’s needs. This study contributes to the under-standing of user experience in AI coaching.
