Abstract

Uniquely designed and manufactured manholes connect pipes to the sewer line, branching the sewer line and change direction of the line. Interviews were conducted to find out the steps of manhole card process and to examine problems and needs of the different parties (client, designer, contractor and manhole manufacturer). Errors in the manhole process can cause delays throughout the process. Normally, manhole manufacturers used pdf-file manhole card for each manhole. We propose table formatted manhole cards to replace existing cards to reduce errors in manhole card process.<br/>
