ОТТОПОНИМИЧЕСКИЕ СУЩЕСТВИТЕЛЬНЫЕ НА -ИЗАЦИЯ В СОВРЕМЕННОЙ ПУБЛИЦИСТИКЕ

Abstract

The aim of this article is to describe substantives derived from toponyms on -izaziya (-ization). The authors identify the range of this vocabulary (more than 130 lexems) and verbs correlated with these nouns, give its general characteristics, especially motivating of those substantives, fix the possibilities of their word-building in Russian (from verbs or from toponyms) or foreign language borrowings. The reasons for their spelling and lexical variability are established, the frequency of use in current mass media is demonstrate. Also, the chronology of the development of this group vocabulary, since the 19-th century, is represented, its codification in dictionaries is showed, and, finally, trends in the development of this group is predicted. In the article, research methods are used: comparative, statistical, semantic description, classification.
