Tiivistelmä
In this thesis, I will address the topic of greenwashing, which has become a significant concern in the fields of architecture and urban planning. I aim to explore how to recognize greenwashing in architecture and urban planning, as well as the types of actions and concepts that are often labeled as greenwashing. Additionally, I will also try to examine and provide tools to develop a line of thought that can help to make projects more sustainable in the design process
As some buildings may use energy-intensive materials, consume large amounts of energy for heating and cooling, or have poor ventilation systems, greenwashing in these fields of work can contribute to climate change by promoting buildings that are inefficient and emit high levels of greenhouse gases, rather than truly sustainable designs that reduce energy consumption and minimize environmental impact.
