"Ei ole meitä ja teitä, vaan toimimme yhdessä" : Lapsiperhesosiaalityön ja lastensuojelun yhteistyö varhaiskasvatuksen kanssa Etelä-Pohjanmaalla

Abstract

Moniammatillinen yhteistyö on tärkeää lasten hyvinvoinnin ja edun toteutumiseksi. Tämän pro gradu -tutkielman tarkoituksena on tarkastella lapsiperhesosiaalityön ja lastensuojelun yhteistyötä varhaiskasvatuksen kanssa Etelä-Pohjanmaalla. Tutkimuskysymykset ovat: ”Minkälaisena lapsiperhesosiaalityön ja lastensuojelun yhteistyö varhaiskasvatuksen kanssa näyttäytyy ennen Etelä-Pohjanmaan hyvinvointialueen aloitusta?” ja ”Miten lapsiperhesosiaalityön ja lastensuojelun yhteistyötä varhaiskasvatuksen kanssa tulisi kehittää Etelä-Pohjanmaan hyvinvointialueen alueella?”. Tavoitteena on aikaansaada tietoa, jota hyvinvointialueen toimijat voivat hyödyntää moniammatillisen yhteistyön kehittämisessä.

Tutkielman aineisto on kerätty helmikuussa 2023 verkkokyselylomakkein. Tutkimustapa on laadullinen. Aineisto on analysoitu aineistolähtöisellä sisällönanalyysilla. Kohderyhmänä tutkielmassa ovat ennen Etelä-Pohjanmaan hyvinvointialueen aloitusta lapsiperhesosiaalityössä ja lastensuojelussa työskennelleet sosiaalityöntekijät ja -ohjaajat, sekä kyseisellä alueella sijaitsevan viiden kunnan päiväkodin johtajat ja varhaiskasvatuksessa työskentelevät opettajat, erityisopettajat, sosionomit ja lastenhoitajat. Tutkielman teoreettinen viitekehys käsittelee varhaiskasvatusta osana ehkäisevää lastensuojelua sekä moniammatillista yhteistyötä lapsiperheiden auttamistyössä.

Tutkimustulosten mukaan suurin osa vastanneista on tehnyt yhteistyötä toisen työalan kanssa. Lähes kaikki vastaajat kokivat yhteistyön olleen aiemmin joko melko riittämätöntä tai melko riittävää. Tutkimustulosten mukaan aiemmin tehty yhteistyö jakautui tapaamisiin ja neuvotteluihin, tiedonvaihtoon, tuen tarpeen kartoittamiseen sekä tiedottamiseen ja konsultaatioon. Vastaajien toiveet yhteistyön kehittämiseksi jakautuivat tiedonkulun tehostamiseen, tiedon lisäämiseen, sovittuihin toimintatapoihin sekä resursseihin vaikuttamiseen. Johtopäätöksenä voidaan todeta, että ammattilaiset näkevät yhteistyön tärkeänä, mutta toivovat siihen muutoksia.

Multiprofessional cooperation is important for the well-being and benefit of children. The purpose of this master's thesis is to examine the cooperation of child family social work and child protection with early childhood education in South Ostrobothnia. The research questions are: "How does the cooperation between child family social work and child protection with early childhood education appear before the start of the South Ostrobothnia welfare region?" and "How should cooperation between child family social work and child protection with early childhood education be developed in the welfare region of Southern Ostrobothnia?". The goal is to provide information that the actors in the welfare area can use in the development of multiprofessional cooperation.

The material for the thesis was collected in February 2023 using online questionnaires. The research method is qualitative. The material has been analyzed using material-oriented content analysis. The target group in the study is the social workers and supervisors who worked in child family social work and child protection before the start of the South Ostrobothnia welfare area, as well as the directors of the five municipal daycare centers located in the area, as well as teachers, special education teachers, Bachelor of Social Services and nannies working in early childhood education. The theoretical reference framework of the thesis deals with early childhood education as part of preventive child protection and multiprofessional cooperation in helping families with children.

According to the research results, most of the respondents have cooperated with another field of work. Almost all respondents felt that cooperation was either quite insufficient or quite sufficient in the past. According to the research results, the cooperation carried out in the past was divided into meetings and negotiations, information exchange, mapping the need for support, and information and consultation. The respondents' wishes for the development of cooperation were divided into enhancing the flow of information, increasing information, agreed methods of operation and influencing resources. In conclusion, it can be stated that professionals see cooperation as important, but hope for changes to it.
