Tiivistelmä
This master thesis describes the process of constructing an IoT device for cows. In this thesis, an energy harvester is developed with intent to transmit enough energy to send a signal. The main focus is on the creation of the energy harvester at the foot of the cow. This is designed with the help of a simulation and then independently designed and assembled. This achieves 2.4mW at a load of 5000W and a frequency of 7Hz and an amplitude of 2V. In the course of this work, it will be possible to send and receive a BLE beacon signal with the harvested energy. The signal transmission is first tested in the laboratory and then in a field trial on a cow.
