Tiivistelmä
One Hour Train – Creating Sustainable Strategies for Salo-Vihti Region 2050 -publication is a result of the Urban Planning and Design IV, a Master’s level course held at the Tampere University School of Architecture in the fall 2020. Urban Planning and Design IV course addresses ongoing strategic, regional and general planning processes as well as innovations and new openings in the field of planning. In the fall 2020, the course focussed on the regional impacts of the planned One Hour Train, a high-speed rail connection between Espoo and Turku that, if realized, is ought to connect the whole Southwest Finland and especially the regions of Salo, Lohja and Vihti. This publication compiles together 13 design projects produced during the course’s intensive seven weeks.
