Tiivistelmä
We analysed the relations between persistent postoperative knee pain (PPKP) and pre-/perioperative variables in 239 working-age patients (261 knees) undergoing knee arthroplasty over 2012–2014.
Outcomes were measured using three visual analogue scales (VAS) measuring pain during activity, rest, and sleep and three patient-reported outcome measures (PROM) at 2–3 months preoperatively and at 1 and 2 years postoperatively. The data was analysed using binary logistical regression.
Preoperative pain during rest and sleep increased the risk of developing PPKP, whereas bilateral surgery and higher age lowered the risk of PPKP.
