Tiivistelmä
The escalating global concern surrounding lithium battery electrolyte (LBE) arises from the substantial accumulation of discarded, hazardous, and valuable materials. While there has been extensive documentation on electrolyte recovery, research on harnessing the potential of solvent carbonates remains relatively sparse. To tackle this issue, we pioneered the development of three innovative metal anion-cation coordination ionic liquid catalysts. These catalysts were meticulously crafted to facilitate the synthesis of polycarbonate from spent LBE carbonate. Our approach involved intricate reactions between organic cations and inorganic anions with various metal compounds, resulting in synergistic catalytic effects. Comprehensive characterization unequivocally verified the intended chemical structure and thermal stability. Through systematic optimization of reaction conditions, our efforts yielded exceptional outcomes. The standout performer among the 1,3-(p-toluic acid Zinc Salt)Im ZnCl3 achieved an impressive conversion rate and a robust yield. The catalyst demonstrated exceptional efficiency, selectivity, and degree of polymerization, offering auspicious avenues for future applications.
